Quickstart guide

Do you have an Adobe ID?

If you want to download the eBook to more than one device, you MUST have an Adobe ID. It’s free to sign up, just visit adobe.com and click on the link to SIGN IN

Do you have Adobe Digital Editions?

If you DO have the Digital Editions software, just click the link at the bottom of the email to download your book.

If you DO NOT have Adobe Digital Editions software on your device, please create an account by following the installation directions below. Adobe Digital Editions is not supported by Chrome OS so can’t be used on the Chromebook platform.

Install on Windows or OS X

 Install

Download and install the free Adobe Digital Editions Software on your computer by clicking here. If you don’t already have an Adobe ID, make sure you create one when installing the software as this will allow you to install the eBook on more than one device.

 Click

Click on the download link below to start downloading your .ascm file. This is a special file type that allows for a secure download.

 Open

Open the .ascm file you just downloaded with Adobe Digital Editions. When prompted to authorize your computer, enter your Adobe ID and password.

  Enjoy

Your eBook will instantly be delivered to your computer, so you can start reading immediately. You can then transfer the book to a compatible eReader device using a USB cable.

Install on a smartphone or tablet

  Install

You will need an Adobe ID to activate eBooks on your device. If you don’t already have one, visit adobe.com; click Sign In then click Get an Adobe ID and complete the form.

Apple iOS: We recommend installing Bluefire Reader on an iPhone or iPad. Search for Bluefire Reader in the App Store.

Once you have downloaded Bluefire Reader, click on Settings and enter your Adobe ID and password.

Android: We recommend the Aldiko app from the Google Play store.

Once you have downloaded Aldiko, open it and select About from the Books menu.

Select Adobe DRM then enter your Adobe ID and password.

  Tap

Tap on the download link below to start downloading your eBook .ascm file. This is a special file type that allows for a secure download.

 Open

iOS: Once the .ascm file has downloaded, click either ‘Open in Bluefire Reader’ or ‘Open in…’ then select Bluefire Reader.

Android: Once the .ascm file has downloaded, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notification shade then select the ‘ASCM File – Download Complete’ message.

 Enjoy

Your eBook will now be available in your bookshelf.

Adobe Digital Editions eBooks

eBooks are delivered using Adobe’s proven Digital Editions platform. Trusted by publishers worldwide, Adobe Digital Editions offers an engaging way to view and manage eBooks and other digital publications. More information about Adobe Digital Editions at http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions.html

Our eBooks are protected with DRM (Digital Rights Management) but are available for you to use on any device with your Adobe ID.

All gtslearning eBooks are provided with 12 months access to the course titles. eBooks are non-printable.

An Adobe ID is a free and nonintrusive way of identifying users. You need only provide a name, country and e-mail address. An Adobe ID can be created through the Digital Editions software or directy at adobe.com.

Adobe Digital Editions is compatible with Windows and OS X. Content created with Adobe Digital Editions can also be viewed on Apple iOS and Android-based devices using a third-party app.

 System requirements for Windows

  • Intel® Pentium® 4 processor or later
  • Windows® XP SP 3 or Windows® 7 (32 or 64 bit running in 32-bit mode)
  • 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
  • 40MB of available hard-disk space

System requirements for OS X

  • Intel Core™ Duo or faster processor
  • Mac OS X v10.6 or later
  • 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended)
  • 75MB of available hard-disk space

System requirements for mobile devices

  • Content created by Adobe Digital Editions can be read on mobile devices using Apple iOS or Android using third-party apps such as Bluefire Reader or Kobo.
